William Albert Allard has worked 48 years as a photojournalist for National Geographic. He has been on assignment with the Amish and Hutterite communities in the United States as well as traveled abroad to Peru, France, India, Spain, Australia and other destinations. He has defined a style of photography through his use of color and composition. By gaining acceptance with his subjects, Allard is credited as having changed the style of the National Geographic Magazine to a more humanistic approach.
