June/22/2011 will mark the 70Th anniversary of the German attack on the Soviet Union. 'No comrades' is the first documentary to pay tribute to the Soviet prisoners of war by reviewing the great suffering they experienced. Nikolai K. , a protagonist of the movie, is one of the two million prisoners of war, who died in German captivity between June 1941 and April 1942. A total of 5.7 million Soviet prisoners of war perished during the WWII due to starvation, maltreatment and the cold. The documentary 'No comrades' posthumously honors the Soviet prisoners of war, illustrates their hardship and keeps their memory alive. It's hoped that future generations may learn from their fate and take instant action against any signs of exclusion, violence and terror.
