I Want to Be an Astronaut (2014)
39min · Documentary, Short, Drama · 1 January 2014
Blair Mason has wanted to be an astronaut since he was three. Now, at 17, Blair continues to aspire to one day 'move humanity beyond Earth.' And he is charging ahead with his goal. But Blair's vision is developing at a time when America doesn't currently have a means of getting astronauts into space. Featuring the best aspects of films about the space program - early space footage; rocket and shuttle launches - the film takes audiences deeper, into the human experience of a young man, fighting to realize his dreams of the cosmos at a time when our nation appears to be on the decline in dominating space exploration. Are we still a country that can realize the dreams of young people like Blair?
