Daniel. Noah. (2015)
12min · Short, Comedy · 1 January 2015
After a series of unpaid internships in the film, TV, publishing, and sex industries, Noah Abrams is still unemployed. He spends his days writing scripts that are torn to shreds at the Biweekly Grilled Cheese Women's Writing Workshop, which he hosts. He lives alone in one of his wealthy mother's real-estate properties. When his childhood friend Daniel returns from 10 years of college and medical training abroad to start a private psychiatry practice, Noah is confronted head-on with his own lost time and missed opportunities. And when Daniel moves in, using a spare room as his home therapy office, it becomes increasingly unclear whether Noah is looking for a BFF or an MD to solve his problems. Painfully awkward and darkly comedic, Daniel. Noah. is about seeing your own mistakes reflected in somebody else's successes.
