Crisis in Morality (1962)
26min · Documentary, Short · 1 January 1962
The fall of many great nations has not been through external forces, but by internal forces. The United States is on the verge of such a fall due to sins in the heart - a so called crisis in morality - manifested by several issues plaguing the country. These issues include: an increase in crime, especially violent youth initiated crime such as through gang activity; the decline of the traditional family, seen through the rise of divorce, and unwed teen girls giving birth; an increase in the use of profanity in all aspects of society; a greater acceptability of obscenity; an increase in psychosocial substance abuse; and an increase in gambling. Much of the problem is due to the glamorization of such issues in popular culture, especially Hollywood movies. But the root cause is the decline of religion, specifically Christianity, in society. To change the tide, God needs to replace sin in the heart.
