Brit.i.am is powerful, crowd-sourced short film based on the beat poem of the same name, originally written and performed by Andi Osho. Using contributions from ordinary people all across the UK, each reciting a line from the poem, the film is a beautiful and diverse tapestry which bravely tackles all aspects of British life including the most unsavory of this small island's history, its criminals, its colonial legacy, its wars and the ensuing loss. However these challenging beats are juxtaposed with celebratory moments such as our staging of the Olympics, our sporting triumphs and proud regal history. The piece is a precise distillation of Britishness using a broad palate of contributors expressing their creativity to create this insightful cultural collage.
